Railway Recruitment 2023: Eligibility, Salary, Apply Online
East Coast Railway has announced Railway Recruitment 2023 for the recruitment of Sportspersons against the sports quota (Open Advt.) for the year 2022-23. Interested candidates can apply for the Level-2/Level-3 vacancies in various disciplines such as volleyball, kabaddi, badminton, boxing, weightlifting, hockey, athletics, table tennis, and archery.
Eligibility Criteria for Railway Recruitment 2023:
Age Limit:
Candidates must be between 18 to 25 years of age as of July 1st, 2023.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have a minimum educational qualification of 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination, or a pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board with an ITI certificate.
Sports Norms:
Candidates must fulfill the minimum sports norms mentioned in the notification. This includes representing the country in any of the Category-B Championships/Events or securing at least 3rd position in any of the Category-C Championships/Events, Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships, National Games, All India Inter University Championship, or 1st Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
Application Process for Railway Recruitment 2023:
Candidates need to obtain a Demand Draft/Pay Order from any nationalized bank or a crossed Indian Postal Order from any post office drawn in favor of “Principal Financial Adviser, East Coast Railway” and payable at Bhubaneswar. The application fee is Rs. 500/- for category (i) candidates and Rs. 250/- for category (ii) candidate. After obtaining the Demand Draft/Pay Order, candidates can visit the official website of East Coast Railway and fill out the application form with all the required details, including personal information, educational qualification, and sports achievements.
Selection Procedure for Railway Recruitment 2023:
The selection process will be based on performance in sports trials, sports achievements, and educational qualifications. Candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks out of 100 will be considered for the next stage of recruitment. The final selection will be made based on the candidate’s overall performance, and canvassing in any form will attract disqualification.
Salary for Railway Recruitment 2023:
The selected candidates will be eligible for a monthly salary as per the 7th Pay Commission, along with other benefits and allowances applicable to Railway employees.
